A Message From the President 

Welcome to the official website of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Nu Kappa Omega Chapter.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (AKA) was founded on a mission comprised of five basic tenets that have remained unchanged since the sorority’s inception, January 15, 1908 at Howard University.  Alpha Kappa Alpha’s mission is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of “Service to All Mankind.’

We have developed and successfully implemented initiatives to support our international programs:

• Strengthen Our Sisterhood
• Empower Our Families
• Build Our Economic Wealth
• Enhance Our Environment
• Advocate for Social Justice
• Uplift Our Local Community

We will continue the tradition and implement our programs with excellence.  It is our sincere desire to heighten our service to this community and all mankind.
